Mockingbird Incubator's mission is to empower emerging nonprofit leaders by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and networks necessary to build sustainable, impactful organizations.
About This Cause
Founded in 2019, Mockingbird Incubator was established to break down barriers in the nonprofit sector by providing critical support to grassroots organizations. Over the past six years, we have guided 13 cohorts through our Incubator Program, empowering over 200 nonprofit leaders in Los Angeles and beyond to transform their ideas into sustainable, impactful organizations. Recognizing the systemic challenges that often hinder new nonprofits, we’ve expanded our services to include fiscal sponsorship, providing essential financial and administrative oversight to help reduce gatekeeping and open doors for innovative, resource-limited initiatives. Our comprehensive incubator program offers tailored mentorship, educational workshops, and hands-on support in key areas such as strategic planning, fundraising, and board development. By equipping nonprofit leaders with the tools they need to succeed, we ensure they can navigate the complexities of the sector and drive meaningful change in their communities. We remain committed to fostering a more inclusive nonprofit ecosystem where bold new ideas can flourish. We strive to create a thriving nonprofit ecosystem where all organizations, regardless of size or resources, can access the guidance and support needed to maximize their community impact.
