About This Cause
San Diego Parks Foundation was established in 2018 to provide critical support to the City of San Diego's Parks and Recreation Department. The City's Park and Rec budget alone cannot meet the entire needs of the City's extensive park system. As a foundation with a nonprofit tax designation we are able to secure funds from private and public supports to address Parks & Rec's funding gaps in programming and maintenance of neighborhood and community parks and implement projects directly.
