Mission Statement
Support the vibrancy and growth of Jewish student life on campus through the sustainability and success of Chabad Houses worldwide. Our goal is to create a place where every Jewish student, from any background and affiliation, feels welcome and accepted. Lubavitch-Chabad inspires Jewish students to find themselves as Jews and progress continuously on a spiritual path, passing on Jewish traditions to family and friends. We focus on the individual as well as the collective and we promote active involvement in all things Jewish, as we encourage young Jews to form intra-religious relationships and enhance their Jewish identities.
About This Cause
Jewish Latin Youth Center Inc. is formed for the charitable religious purpose of providing Jewish ministry, aid and support to young and young adult members of the Jewish faith who feel estranged from their spiritual identities. This organization will provide a warm, socially safe, welcoming and empowering Jewish environment for Jewish youth and young adults where they can connect with their heritage and with their future as full members of their faith community. This organization will reach out to Jewish youth from Latin American backgrounds along with those of the general community, be they located in the NY Area, in Latin America or elsewhere. This organization will arrange, encourage and facilitate the observance of traditional Orthodox Jewish and Chabad Chassidic practices by sponsoring and coordinating prayer services, religious education, spiritual events, celebrations, and meetings. It will supply religious articles, kosher food and any other assistance required. It will perform follow-up activities to help such individuals become better integrated in their communities by strengthening their faith and commitment.
