About This Cause

EQUITABLE POLICY ADVOCACY AND FORMATION: We work with Federal, state and municipal policymakers and think tanks like the Brookings Institution to shape federal innovation, entrepreneurship and investment policy to ensure that everyone, everywhere is equitably included. Recent work includes CHIPS Act, Cybersecurity Opportunity Act, Build Back Better and State Small Business Credit Initiative & Past work includes the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (JOBS Act) and state policy formation in Georgia and beyond. INCLUSIVE TECHNOLOGY, STARTUP AND VENTURE ECOSYSTEM BUILDING PROGRAMS: Ecosystem building is the science and practice that is driving the accelerated growth of the global startup community. Startups are responsible for 60% of our nation’s new net jobs. Our Founder, Rodney Sampson, is respected as the pioneer of inclusive ecosystem building given his journey as one of the first Black technology startup founders to raise venture capital, experience two successful exits and go on to launch Opportunity Hub (OHUB) in 2013 as the leading technology, startup and venture ecosystem building platform created to ensure that everyone, everywhere has equitable access to the future of work, fourth industrial revolution and beyond as a path to multi-generational wealth creation with no reliance on pre-existing multi-generational wealth. Leveraging its proven, metrics-driven blueprint and methodology as outlined in “Building Inclusive Entrepreneurship Ecosystems In Communities of Color” with The Federal Reserve Bank, OHUB delivers early exposure programs like OHUB@SXSW and OHUB x IBM Skillsbuild; upskilling training programs like software development, cybersecurity, technical sales; career placement partnerships with over 100 high growth technology companies; entrepreneurship support programming, and early stage capital formation via its in-person and online live events and experiences, and geographically placed technology hubs.
