Mission Statement
The Gothic Hills Foundation exists to enrich the community around us by producing free family entertainment events that provide mentoring for area youth who want to learn creative theatrical and production skills and much-needed supplies for local food banks and animal rescues.
About This Cause
Gothic Hills Foundation produces a Halloween event called The Gothic Hills Cemetery, that materializes just once a year to provide free family fun to families in Southern California. This event includes a haunted house, children's shows, and collects much-needed supplies for Best Friends Animal Society's no-kill shelter, and also the AIDS Project LA's Necessities of Life Program - A food and living needs bank for the Los Angeles community. Our goal for 2019 is to collect and donate over 200 lbs of food and supplies. Our event takes months of planning and building and through this work we provide mentorship of anyone, particularly young people, who want to learn or practice entertainment production skills like prop and set design, construction, special effects and more. Not only do we feel it is important to give young people a chance to explore creative work, distracting them from negative influences, it is especially useful for those growing up in the Hollywood area.
