Mission Statement
CONAHEC advises and connects institutions interested in establishing or strengthening academic collaborative programs within the North American region and beyond. We help students who might otherwise be unable to do so gain international experience by studying in foreign countries, we help faculty find international partners for co-teaching, research and academic exchange, and facilitate international experiences for higher education administrative staff so they can learn how their jobs are done in other countries. International knowledge and experience are essential to creating a dynamic, internationally knowledgeable and engaged workforce and citizenry with the intercultural skills needed to work with others who have different backgrounds and experiences.

CONAHEC provides high-quality, accessible and low-cost international mobility opportunities for higher education students, faculty and staff. CONAHEC also convenes leaders from higher education, government, foundations and the business sector to strengthen international inter-sectoral collaboration to provide greater academic exchange and work experience opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers. CONAHEC organizes conferences and delegation visits to support collaboration in teaching, learning and research, and organizes practical professional experiences and project based learning for students. Institutions that participate in and support CONAHEC programs, create better international opportunities for higher education students, faculty and staff.
