To build inclusive communities and strengthen neighborhoods through diverse programming, sustainable, affordable housing and social spaces for people of all abilities.
About This Cause
Established in 2019 just before COVID hit, City Center NOVA (as we were previously known), underwent a total brand change in November 2020 to better illustrate who we are as well as recognize our growth from one location to multiple. We are proudly known as “Our Stomping Ground,” (OSG) because everyone has a favorite stomping ground that brings back fond memories and that stays with them forever. Now our adults have one, too. Although our name may have changed, our mission to establish affordable, inclusive communities for disabled adults remains the same. To that end, together with our Affordable Housing Developer partners, several public and private partnerships and family and friends, we have created thriving communities in Northern Virginia. By Q1 2023, six OSG communities will be up and running with several more in the works. We provide each community with 80+ hours of free monthly programming from essential life skills such as how to be safe in home, to planning and preparing healthy meals, to learning how to ride a bike/use the local Metro, to sharing perspectives about today's issues and social justice topics, to dining, walking and reading clubs - the list goes on!
