BAY AREA HERPETOLOGICAL SOCIETY

PALO ALTO, California, 94301 United States

Mission Statement

Our nonprofit encourages conservation of wildlife in general and of amphibians and reptiles in particular.

About This Cause

Specifically, we organize a monthly speaker series featuring speakers such as wildlife biologists, local amphibian and reptile breeders, herpetologists, or a falconer. We teach care and feeding, natural ecology, and how to instructions e.g. the creation of a bioactive enclosure. In addition we teach outside the classroom by bringing member-cared-for reptiles and amphibians to schools, county fairs, reptile shows, and several library events, upon request. Our monthly speaker series is open to the public. We meet at the Palo Alto Cubberly Community Center. Membership is not required but gladly welcomed. No fees are charged but we accept donations.
