The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

About This Cause

The Pathway to the Rockies Council of the Boy Scouts of America has been serving youth for over 100 years. The Council was formed for the express purpose of providing Scouting programs to the young people of our territory. Currently, the Pathway to the Rockies Council provides Scouting experiences to thousands of youth in Southern Colorado. The Council operates 3 camp properties, 2 Council Service Centers and 2 Scout Shops to support Scouting programs. The Boy Scouts of America's Scouting program continues to lead the nation and world in youth protection standards as an organization dedicated to keeping young people safe. Cub Scouts (first-fifth grade) - A year-round program designed to meet the needs of young boys, girls, and their families through fun and challenging activities which citizenship, character development and physical fitness. Boy Scouts (sixth grade - 18 years) - An outdoor program created to develop character, citizenship and fitness in young men and women. Venturing (ages 14-20) - A program for young men and women designed to help them grow into responsible and caring adults through education and recreational experiences. Exploring (ages 14-20) - A career education program for young men and women to partner with local business entities to gain practical knowledge and experience in a career. ScoutReach (ages 6-21) - A youth outreach program that meets the needs of all youth in our communities and provides a fun and meaningful Scouting experience.
