About This Cause
Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County is a private nonprofit organization that has been serving youth ages 6-18 for the past 53 years. Founded in 1964 as a charter organization of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, we have had a consistent and dedicated mission to serve Weld County’s Youth. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County is, “To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.” Our work empowers children and teens to do just that. Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County is the premier nonprofit in Weld County that offers comprehensive youth development after-school and summer programs in our Clubhouses as well as school and community based sites. The Clubs now serve up to 500 kids each day, with over 2,000 registered members operating in 7 locations throughout Weld County including Greeley, Milliken, Johnstown, Fort Lupton, and Galeton. There are five key program areas which include education & career, character & leadership, health & life skills, arts, and sports & recreation. These programs are a part of our comprehensive approach in accomplishing our three outcome areas: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. These focus areas make up the big picture of what our kids gain when they come to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County and the outcomes of our programs have proven results. As we grow as an organization, we hope to serve more youth throughout Weld County and provide even stronger programs so that no child is limited by their socioeconomic circumstances.
