Ananda Marga renders service to the society by providing food to the poor and homeless, providing free education in the field of mental and physical health by teaching yoga, meditation, and health and wellness to the public. Ananda Marga also advocates prevention of cruelty to human beings, animals and plants.
About This Cause
Ananda Marga is a service-oriented organization that has several branches in the US providing free or donation-based instruction in yoga and meditation. In Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Denver, the Ananda Marga volunteers provide food to the poor and homeless. Ananda Marga also has several retreat centers that provide retreats and other education programs at low cost to the public focusing on health and wellness, organic farming, yoga and meditation, and other self-improvement practices. Ananda Marga is a volunteer organization with all administrative and service work done on a volunteer basis.
