AURORA, Colorado, 80010 United States

Mission Statement

Asian Pacific Development Center's mission is to advance the well-being of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, immigrant and refugee communities of Colorado through holistic health, education, and advocacy services that promote whole health.

About This Cause

The Asian Pacific Development Center was founded in 1980 to address the needs of incoming refugees from Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos - many of whom were experiencing challenges in their new home due to language and cultural barriers in additional to personal turmoil created by traumatic experiences in their home countries. Our Behavioral Health clinic became a space of healing and community - and the only specialty clinic in Colorado for Asian communities. Since 1980, our services have expanded into six departments that work together to promote whole health and offer mental health, primary care, adult education, youth programs, victim assistance, health equity, and interpretation and translation. APDC has become a community hub for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, immigrant and refugee communities heal mind, body, and spirit.
