Our vision is a committed and collaborative community where all cats have the opportunity to thrive. Cat Care Society is: ● Welcoming of all cats. None are too old or ill to be valued, loved and treated with dignity. We are compassionate of the cats in our care and the people whose lives we touch. ● Committed to excellence in operations, ensuring the highest quality of care for cats and delivering trusted services for people who love cats. ● Unique in our approach, offering free-roaming and enriching spaces for cats, embracing cats that need specialized support, and providing superior medical care. ● Connected to our community as a regional leader, inspirational model, and educational resource in cat welfare. ● Inclusive of the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of the people we welcome through our doors and engage with in our community. Cat Care Society offers the following programs and services: ● Adoptions: Once someone submits an application to adopt a cat, they meet with an adoption counselor to ensure the cat is a perfect match for the family. ● Admissions: CCS accepts cats into our shelter and provides exceptional care while they are on the path to a loving home. ● Fosters: CCS temporarily places cats from the shelter in loving homes until they are adopted into their forever home. ● Temporary Care: If a person is experiencing a temporary situation (unhoused, medical, domestic violence, moving) they are invited to enroll their cat(s) into this program in which CCS will serve as the temporary shelter for their cat(s) for up to 30 days. CCS will provide shelter, veterinary care, food, and enrichment programs until the cat(s) are able to return home, ultimately keeping cats with their families. ● Nine Lives Legacy Society Guardianship Program: Should a person(s) name CCS as a beneficiary in their estate plans, they become members of the Nine Lives Legacy Society and are invited to enroll their cat(s) into the Guardianship Program in which CCS will serve as the temporary guardian for the cat(s) should they outlive their owner. CCS will provide shelter, veterinary care, food, and enrichment programs until the cat(s) are adopted into their next home. ● Nibbles & Kibbles Food Bank: Offers free cat food and cat litter to people who are experiencing temporary financial challenges.
