Mission Statement
LIFT-UP is a non-profit dedicated to providing humanitarian essentials while creating a bridge to personal empowerment and self-reliance.
About This Cause
LIFT-UP is an organization that has provided humanitarian essentials to those in need throughout the Roaring Fork Valley for over 38 years. We manage 5 food pantries in Aspen, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, New Castle and Rifle as well as mobile food distribution in Aspen, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Rifle and Parachute. In addition, we have a Thrift Store in Rifle that is a revenue source for LIFT-UP food programs and we coordinate extended table (soup kitchens) in Glenwood Springs and Rifle. We provide student lunches on Fridays during the school year in the RE-2 school district when there is no school in session due to the 4-day a week school year, as well as throughout the summer. LIFT-UP also has a Farm to Food Program that forward purchases fresh produce, meat and dairy from local and regional farms who provide deliverables in the spring and summer, as well as at once orders providing healthier food options to those in need.
