Mission Statement
The mission of the Colorado Health Network, Inc. DBA Colorado AIDS Project is to equitably meet the evolving needs of people affected by HIV and other health conditions. In 2011, the Colorado Health Network (CHN) expanded with the merger of the Denver Colorado AIDS Project, Northern Colorado AIDS Project, Southern Colorado AIDS Project and Western Colorado AIDS Project. The merger created one large, statewide organization providing an array of services including case management, behavioral health counseling, health insurance enrollment assistance, housing resources, emergency financial and transportation assistance, food banks and nutritional programs, and prevention programs. In 2014, Howard Dental Center merged with the Colorado Health Network and expanded the list of services to include oral health care. In the spring of 2018 CHN opened a medical clinic.

CHN is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization which strives to reduce disparities in accessing care by targeting services toward groups most impacted by HIV/AIDS and other health conditions including low-income, LGBTQ+, men who have sex with men, people who inject drugs and communities of color. Approximately 89% of clients are low income/working poor; 13% are homeless; 32% report substance use/abuse and 45% report mental health concerns. Approximately 80% of clients are male, 19% are female and 1% are transgender. The majority of clients are Caucasian (49%), Latino (23%) and African American (20%). Today CHN has offices and programs in Denver, Fort Collins, Greeley, Grand Junction, Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
