Mission Statement
The mission of the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education is to advance environmental education in Colorado by fostering collaboration, mobilizing support, and driving excellence.
About This Cause
Since 1989, the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education (CAEE) has supported the many types of educators who teach concepts we all need to understand: how natural systems work, what we must do to interact responsibly with our environment, and how we can protect natural resources for future generations. No single organization can ensure an environmentally literate Colorado on their own. For this reason, CAEE serves as the umbrella EE organization for over 850 members across the state in many different places and spaces like classrooms, nonprofits, nature centers, government agencies, higher education, businesses, and more collectively reaching over 800,000 learners. Collectively, we inspire educators, schools and communities to impact conservation, education, social justice, health and wellness, and youth development. By offering resources and meaningful support to individuals and organizations that provide EE services and by advocating for increased access to environmental learning opportunities for all Colorado residents, together we are working towards an environmentally literate Colorado.
