About This Cause

CCAI exists to find caring parents and loving homes for as many abandoned children as possible; to provide cultural education and emotional support to adopted children and their families; and to reach out to the children left behind in orphanages. *More than 11,780 orphaned children have found loving forever homes through our services since 1994. * The 2016 Summer AGBOST (Adoptees Giving Back - Orphanage Service Trip) gave the gift of meaningful service and life-changing opportunity to 25 Chinese adoptees over 10 days in Anhui, China this summer. Adoptees visited an orphanage and worked a full work week giving back to the children there. In addition, the AGBOST travelers raised over $9,000 for the orphanage through community outreach before ever setting foot in China! *The CCAI Heritage Tours, organized by The Chinese Organization Bridge of Love Adoption Services enabled 151 adopted children along with their 361 family members to travel to China to experience their culture and visit the many amazing sites in China. We also have a Thanksgiving Heritage tour coming up arranged by CCAI. We currently have 11 families registered for this tour. 2017 tour dates are as follows: · Spring tour: leave US for China on Sunday, April 9th, arrive on April 10th, tour would begin on Tuesday, April 11th and end on Wednesday April 19th. · June tour: leave US for China on Sunday, June 11th, arrive in Beijing on June 12th, tour would begin Tuesday, June 13th and end on Wednesday, June 21st. · July tour: leave US for China on Sunday, July 16th, arrive on July 17th, tour would begin on Tuesday, July 18th and end on Wednesday, July 26th. · Winter tour: leave US for China on Sunday, December 24, 2017 arrive on December 25th, tour would begin on Tuesday, December 26th and end on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. *Chinese Children Adoption International continues to hold the #1 adoption agency ranking for the past 5 years, among all agencies and countries placing children from China. The ranking, the first ever by the Chinese government, was conducted and released on March 28, 2011 by China Center for Children's Welfare and Adoption (CCCWA). We are extremely excited for this incredible honor and very proud of our role in serving China's abandoned children. * During the 2015-2016 school year, over 200 people (children and adults) received Chinese cultural education. *During 2015, over $435,000 was donated for food, supplies, clothing, medicine, education and orphan care for Chinese orphans and for food, supplies and clothing for Haitian orphans. *Provided Xpress Yourself therapeutic group support to adoptees between the ages of 7-12 years. Each group of kids is guided by a certified trainer therapist. Drama, play, storytelling, drawing and poetry allow the adoptees to express themselves about adoption issues related to birth parents, race and identity and any other issues they are having as adopted children. * Currently there are 8 Lily Orphan Care Center in China that serve as childcare model and to help the Chinese caretakers visualize our child-centered philosophy. Chinese Children Charities works with individual provincial governments to either renovate a pre-existing, run-down orphanage facility or build new childcare rooms from the ground up. *64 children were hosted during 2015 through the China Hosting Program; 79% found their forever families through this program.
