Mission Statement
Community Sailing of Colorado is a nonprofit organization created in 1994 to provide public access to sailing instruction in Colorado. Our passion is to share the joy of sailing through hands-on skill building and empowerment across the Front Range Communities
About This Cause
Community Sailing of Colorado is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created in 1995 to provide public access to sailing. We are an instructional sailing program in the Denver area located at the Cherry Creek Reservoir, Boulder Reservoir, Union Reservoir and soon to be at Carter Lake. Our Mission: “Make sailing in Colorado accessible to all. Teach skills, build confidence & have fun!” Community Sailing of Colorado focuses on providing a fun, safe environment for children to learn how to sail through summer camps. We also offer classes for adults, and have recently launched an Adaptive Sailing Program to share the excitement and freedom of sailing with disabled individuals in our community. Community Sailing of Colorado has classes the entire family will enjoy! Our Vision: “Our Community, enriched by the sailing experience.” CSC has had over 8,200 students since its inception, with many of our students receiving scholarships to participate in the various sailing programs. In addition, CSC has hosted countless events which allow us to partner with community organizations and share the joy of sailing with those who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
