About This Cause
Haiti Children is a U.S. based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has worked only in Haiti since 1994. They own and operate a 17-acre secure campus located 30 miles from Port-au-Prince called Mercy & Sharing Village. It is there that 126 orphans receive love, attention, and care. Mercy & Sharing’s mission is to enable these precious children to grow, learn, laugh, play, and become independent adults. Mercy & Sharing provides nutrition for over 2000 people every day and over 1100 students are educated at Mercy & Sharing’s three schools. Mercy & Sharing is one of the only organizations in Haiti that takes in disabled kids who would otherwise die on the street. Mercy & Sharing needs funds to help provide food, shelter, medical care, clothing, therapy, education and loving care these children need to survive and thrive. For only $6000 per year per child, Mercy & Sharing provides everything needed for these orphans to live in a safe, healthy, and happy environment.
