Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote non-motorized, multi-use, environmentally responsible trail systems in Boulder County and neighboring areas.
About This Cause
BATCO is a group of environmentalists, hikers, equestrians and bicyclists who believe it is in everyone's best interest to work together on trail issues. We advocate for new trails and trailheads, build new trails and maintain existing ones, using volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. We also compile, publish and sell a comprehensive Trails and Recreation Map of Boulder County which shows all designated trails and is color- and pattern-coded to indicate user types, as well as recreation centers, fishing holes, dog parks and more. The map shows all public lands including contact information for our public land management agencies. All net proceeds from the sale of the BATCO Trail map are earmarked for trails. We have been recognized by Boulder County Parks & Open Space as a partner for more than a decade.
