Mission Statement
Friends of the Shelter is organized exclusively to provide financial support for the medical, education and adoption programs of the Franklin County Dog Shelter.
About This Cause
Specialized medical care and recuperative infirmary services, made available to the dogs of the Franklin County Dog Shelter, are not funded by local tax dollars. The programs that aid our sick and injured Shelter dogs are financially dependent on Friends of the Shelter, an all-volunteer organization, and the generous support from the public.
