Mission Statement
GMI prepares underrepresented students for their job search by providing them with the tools and guidance needed to be successful. This is accomplished through a structured, short-term, online mentorship with a business professional.
About This Cause
Global Mentorship Initiative is a non-profit organization that provides guidance and business skills to underserved college students through online mentorship enhanced by AI. GMI was created from the Rockefeller Foundation’s Digital Jobs Initiative to help prepare students for their first career job using a model that makes it easy to be a great mentor without a significant time commitment. GMI’s 8,000 students are from over 70 universities and youth partners in 102 countries including eight refugee camps. The GMI mentorship program includes 12 one-hour structured online sessions designed to provide real value to the student as they prepare for their job search. Contact us about mentoring a student!
