About This Cause
Reclaimed Hope Initiative is a faith-based, family-centered support and advocacy organization that provides rest, support, connection, healing, and hope to foster, adoptive, and special needs families. We use education, direct services, advocacy, mental health support and racial mentorship to offer wrap-around services to every member of the family. This is turn limits burnout and secondary traumatic stress in caregivers, as well as limits the use of hospitals, residential facilities and group homes for youth with a traumatic past. Reclaimed Hope Initiative addresses the mental, physical, social and recreational needs of a vulnerable population of families mainly in Charlottesville City and Albemarle County, but also serves families in the Counties of Fluvanna, Louisa, Nelson and Augusta.
