Mission Statement
It is acknowledged that young people are our future and life time learning is integral to our success. Recognizing the foregoing, it is the purpose of the Dream Center Springfield INC a 501(c)(3) organization to be a focal point for comprehensive, high-quality programs of service, activities and the trades which enhance the aptitude of participants and thus the community. The Dream Center exists to complement school, home and church in training, fostering and equipping learners of all ages to academic excellence, social responsibility, spiritual growth and personal development. Classes led by a community of active learners and professionals in their respective fields allow us to provide a level of excellence, develop character traits and social skills to improve success in any life setting. These programs and services are designed to maximize the integration of skilled learners into the Sangamon County community. The intent of the Dream Center is to promote independence, to enhance dignity, to affirm self-worth, to provide opportunity for personal growth, enjoyment and contribution to society. The Center will initiate, develop and coordinate classes and services that further the social, psychological, physical, educational, spiritual and economic well-being of people of all ages. To accomplish its purpose the Center serves as a resource for information and agency collaboration. It is also a location where professionals, lay people, those interested in the trades and the community at large can receive information. To ensure that this purpose is carried out, the Dream Center Springfield INC will serve as a means of addressing the issues and concerns of the Springfield and Sangamon County region.

Deliver Help: At the Dream Center, we believe in holistic support for every individual, addressing not just their immediate needs but also nurturing their mind, body, and spirit. We provide a safe haven where individuals can find refuge, support, and the resources they need to thrive. Remove Barriers: Education, social, and economic barriers should never stand in the way of someone achieving their dreams. We are dedicated to breaking down these barriers, offering educational opportunities, social support networks, and economic empowerment programs that empower individuals to reach their full potential. Educate: Knowledge is power, and at the Dream Center, we are committed to empowering individuals through education. From teaching practical trades and life skills to imparting valuable wisdom found in the Bible, we equip individuals with the tools they need to succeed in all areas of life. Affiliate: No one should have to navigate life's challenges alone. Through our extensive network of partnerships and affiliations with other helpful services and organizations, we connect individuals to resources and support systems that extend beyond our walls, ensuring they have access to the assistance they need to thrive. Motivate: We believe in the power of motivation to inspire change and transformation. At the Dream Center, we motivate individuals to learn, to discover their purpose, to prioritize their health and well-being, and to give back to their communities. Together, we build a culture of resilience, determination, and hope. Our goal is simple: to serve and train our city with knowledge, compassion, and love. As Hosea 4:6 reminds us, "People die for a lack of knowledge." We strive to combat this by empowering individuals with the knowledge they need to thrive.
