Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide the LGBTQIA+ citizens of Ross County a safe and welcoming community by increasing education to local businesses, law enforcement, and governing bodies, increasing LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and reducing stigma associated with the LGBTQIA+ population. We also aim to foster better health equity for those identifying as LGBTQIA+, and facilitate family-friendly events that will allow all citizens of Ross County to participate.
About This Cause
We are a non-profit LGBTQIA+ organization in a small town. Our board members and LGBTQ community volunteer throughout the year to help other causes such as a local AIDS/HIV non-profit, community cleanups and more. We offer weekly support groups, teen, trans and general, as well as a book club. We hold a weekly group called Coffee and Crafts where we offer crafting projects, coffee and conversation. Each holiday season, we hold a "Friendsgiving" event where we supply a full course holiday meal for anyone who attends, free of charge. We hold drag show fundraisers throughout the year and have a PRIDE event in the summer. Our hope is to get enough funding to have a community center of our own where we can offer more support groups, HIV testing, an art center and more.
