Helping to alleviate the hardships of those people who are in need in the Bay Area.
About This Cause
Muslims Sisters Helping is made up of women from many different cities in the Bay Area who work together and with local establishments to deliver small and big projects with love and care and we have been doing this since 2017. Some of our projects include: * Fund raising to help build prayer places. * Distributed money for food for orphans. * Sponsoring food programs. * Assisting poor, low income residents and refugees with household items, clothes and necessities. * Delivering fresh food, care packages and blankets for the homeless locally and especially in Oakland. * Acquiring shoes for local shoe drives and in developing countries. * Shared gift cards and care packages to California fire victims. * Gifting cash to local low income families. * Helping single mothers, struggling and recovering families with rent,bills, and utilities. * Arranged meals to those who were affected by the government shutdown. * Giving cash to those who are in accidents or debts. * Issued sewing machines to help low income sisters earn. * Placed homeless people in jobs and homes. * Get rehabilitation for those doctors say need them from drug abuse. * Help poor women with wedding expenses * Toy drives for poor children. * We help anyone locally who are; in need, from low income families, struggling with debt, widows, single parents, orphans, new migrants to the country, those in need of rent assistance, out of a job, trying to start small business, in need of day care, having new babies, at risk of becoming homeless, caring for sick family members, going through divorce, in need of gifts, out of gas, food rent, utilities money and so on. We get used small cars to help poor families commute for work school etc, and participate in back to school drives and much more tasks. We constantly collect gently used and new items and household items to share with those in need, selling some of the new items to raise funds for current assignments. We pooled money to help each case individually as best as we can. We try to do one project/case at a time raising funds and items only for that purpose but sometimes out of necessity two or three tasks overlap each other. Drives are stopped when the targeted amount is reached. We ask sisters to contribute for the current task on hand by volunteering, donating items or cash and sharing resources and skills, all of which is completely and entirely used only for the undertaking in motion and those the help is being directed to. Within the last year alone we have completed over 50 cases and direct them to places for continued help. We basically see a need and fill a need as best as we can.
