About This Cause
Camp Restore Detroit exists to raise the quality of life in the 9th Precinct of Detroit by infusing resources into resident-led projects and creating a community-led hub of opportunities. We work alongside residents and community organizations, infusing resources into community-led projects that raise the quality of life and restore vibrancy to the community. We are in the process of building a community hub to provide community-wide access to education, health and wellness activities, as well as leadership development opportunities. This includes a near-completed Children’s Technology & Engagement Center (with tutoring and STEAM programs), an in-progress Community Technology & Engagement Center (including space for community meetings and a Maker’s Space), completed community gardens and a reflection garden, and an in-progress gathering space with a fitness trail, exercise equipment, and a pavilion.
