About This Cause

TLT-Tomorrows Leaders Today (TLT) was founded in 2019. Based on current data provided by zipdatamaps in March of 2025 and the free and reduced lunch program Texas data, we served 1402 individuals. From the start, TLT focuses on serving those in low-and-moderate income communities. In 2023, we were at 59.26% and as of Dec. 2024, we are at 99%. TLT Online Learning Library was created to provide free and low cost online courses and has reached 128 zip codes as of March 2024, providing real-life skills, soft-skills, financial literacy, higher education and career readiness videos, presentations and surveys. In June of 2020, the TLT Leading Leaders Intern Program was established. 38 colleges/universities, and numerous high schools have allowed TLT to advertise our 18 internship positions through their career tool Handshake. This experience is earning participants real life work experience and, in many cases, educational academic course credit. Current positions include Accounting/Business Services, Campus Liaison, Cyber Security, Data Research, Development, Digital Marketing, GIS Basics, Graphic Design, Grant Writing, Human Resource, Impact Management, Instructional Design/E-Learning, Marketing, Operations: Policies & Procedures, Program Coordination, Project Management Coordination, Social- Media, Video Production, and Website Development. These are all remote positions which makes this opportunity accessible to all across Texas. We continue to add additional positions. Donations will help provide the specific technology required to be successful in each of these positions. Donations are used to provide facilitators so the intern can have one-on-one sessions and project reviews and appropriate position specific software for each participant that we serve. 533 youth have gone through our program to date. TLT Youth Leadership Academy is a four-week program presented by TLT- Tomorrow’s Leaders Today to any interested 5th to 12th grade youth, who live in Collin, Dallas, Denton or Tarrant County, held three times a year. This educational program experience explores personal communication and leadership dynamics, community social service organizations, their community’s history and growth, higher education and career opportunities, resume creating/review, financial literacy, community safety & local government. Participants work with their class using their leadership skills to complete a class project that will benefit their community. Community focused sessions are 3 hours long, with a certificate of graduation. We are Platinum Seal GuideStar Transparency approved and could not have done this without our community partners and volunteers. In 2024, our volunteers, Board of Directors, and interns collectively contributed over 22,537 hours (valued at $754,764) to fulfill essential roles for TLT- Tomorrow’s Leaders Today. According to the Do-Good Institute, each volunteer hour is valued at $34.79.
