Mission Statement
North East Keelboat Alliance, or NEKA, is a non-profit dedicated to training the next generation of sailors to race at the highest levels in keelboat racing. We provide a pathway for young competitors to develop the skills and experience to excel in grand prix racing programs.
About This Cause
North East Keelboat Alliance, or NEKA, is a non-profit located in Glen Cove, NY. We provide an environment for young people to develop the skills and experience needed to excel in high-performance racing. NEKA is proud to represent the Team Ocean Grown project, a female pars team consisting of Lisa Roland and Lauren Champion who are rowing 3,000nm across the Atlantic Ocean this December. The two women are raising funds for a maritime education scholarship to create job opportunities for at-risk young adults who were raised in the foster care system in North America.
