The Winters Center for Autism is committed to enhancing the quality of life for adults with autism through job creation, training, and placement while helping businesses to develop and implement programs to employ people with autism.

About This Cause

At Winters Center for Autism, the vision is to create a campus feel that encourages learning and invites social engagement and networking amongst participants and community members. Located in West Babylon, New York, the state-of-the-art campus will include: A 14,000 square foot vocational and life skills teaching center Indoor and outdoor recreational spaces for health and wellness activities Brigid’s Cafe providing a welcoming environment for all members of the community Winters Bros. Secure Shredding Operation Drop off service laundromat Close proximity to Winters Bros Waste Systems offering vocational training and community-based work experiences for program participants And more… Vocational Training We work with providers to bring their clients to the Winters Center for Autism for job training and job placement. We provide a facility where our partner agencies can simulate work experiences for adults with autism in specific career areas including: training office, technology training center, salon, grocery store, teaching cafe, a hotel training room for commercial cleaning, shredding operation, and laundry center. Health & Wellness Regular physical activity is one of the most important things one can do for mental health and physical wellbeing. WCFA is committed to advance its mission to create happier, healthier, and more fulfilled lifestyles for individuals with autism in our communities. By offering access to state-of-the-art campus grounds designed with features to stimulate motor, cognitive, sensory, and social skills. And programs aimed to encourage healthy living through activities that nurture and enrich both, mind and body, such as art & music, fitness & yoga classes, gardening, balanced nutrition & cooking classes, and more.
