W3C brings together global stakeholders to develop open standards which enable a world wide web that connects and empowers humanity.
About This Cause
The mission of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is to make the web work, for everyone. We uphold the essential core values: the web is for all humanity; the web is designed for the good of its users; the web must be safe for its users and there is one interoperable world-wide web. We are socially responsible and prioritize accessibility, internationalization, privacy, security and are exploring important areas such as sustainability. Our goals include further facilitating balance, equity and cooperation among the participants from different industries, user groups and organizations of all sizes as well as increasing involvement of key stakeholders such as end users, content creators developers and other groups under-represented in the web community.
