About This Cause
The Victory Train® is an early childhood education program that empowers parents with skills and resources to provide essential learning experiences for their children from birth to kindergarten. Kindergarten-readiness is a key indicator to a child’s future academic and economic success and is a critical first step on the pathway to graduation. On the Victory Train, we walk alongside parents beginning at the birth of their child, helping them realize their role as their child’s primary teacher, and providing them with age-appropriate educational packets delivered to the home every week. Parents are guided every step of the way, helping them raise children who arrive at the first day of school confident and ready to succeed at the first key milestone on the pathway to graduation. The Victory Train® delivers educational packets to the homes of our families, starting at the birth of their child, and provides parents with the tools and skills they need to prepare their child for kindergarten-readiness. The weekly educational packets contain books, educational toys, crayons, glue sticks, scissors, and all the materials parents need to provide essential learning experiences for their child in preparation for school-readiness. We teach themes such as Colors, Shapes, Numbers and Letters, and create fun, interactive ways for parents to teach their children the critical skills needed to be school-ready. The Victory Train partners with local service organizations, businesses, schools, churches and governmental entities, working together to collectively address the needs of children and parents in the Greene County community. Together we are changing the conversation in the home and guiding parents on the pathway to ensure all children in Greene County are ready for school on Day One!
