Mission Statement
Restore Salon Services is dedicated to fostering healing through the art of hair care. We hope to RESTORE confidence, add a sense of normalcy, and ignite a desire for self-care for chronically ill children and their caretakers. Our licensed cosmetologist comes to your home, hospital, school, or rehab to provide hair cuts and other salon services to children and their caretakers unable to make it to a salon. We also offer gender-affirming cuts and consultations for transgender, questioning, and non-binary youth, while teaching self affirming styling techniques for this community. It is only through the generosity of others that Restore Salon Services is able to work tirelessly to bring a well-deserved smile for these special children and their loved ones.
About This Cause
Friends, I would like to introduce you all to Restore Salon Services. We are a non-profit organization that provides hair services for children and adults that find themselves in the hospital or un-able to go to a salon. These services are provided to the populations we serve and their circle of care free of charge. Our mission is to help empower healing and affirmation through the art of hairstyling / cutting and the touch it takes to provide these services. Our goal is to RESTORE confidence, and normalcy in what may otherwise be an abnormal season. Most of all to RESTORE a sense of self love, independence, and power to this fragile population that all too often finds themselves powerless. We will come to your home, hospital, rehabilitation center, or wherever you need us and provide a professional salon experience without being in a salon. All by licensed professionals. Restore Salon Services is a non-profit so we need donations in order to make this all possible, So, I am asking for any contributions you can make to this amazing service for these kids and their families / caregivers. We have just begun our journey to empower this population, so we are trying to build a village to RESTORE some power to as many of these kids and their caregivers as we can. We can’t do this without your help and support. There is no amount too small or big. If you are a hairstylist and would like to volunteer with Restore Salon Services, send us your resume.
