Mission Statement

Virginia Commonwealth Rowing Association exists to support the VCU Crew team through a network of alumni, parents, coaches, and friends via scholarships, operational support, and mentorship.

About This Cause

VaCRA is a 501(c)3 organization that aims to create a fund to provide the Crew Team at VCU with necessary equipment such as oars, boats, and tools. VaCRA also hopes to provide small scale ‘scholarships’ for student rowers demonstrating need. Providing team dues on behalf of rowers and sponsoring students for the annual spring training trip relieves the burden on students and their families, and opens the sport to a wider range of students.
