Mission Statement
Unforeseen Visions Inc, mission is to promote academics, good health, and life developmental skills to lower income neighborhood youths utilizing soccer. We provide informative seminars, workshops and community centered events to scholars that want to take their love of soccer to the next level.( little league, high school, collegiate or professional level).
About This Cause
Unforeseen Visions Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and serves the Washington Metropolitan area. Established in 2015, our mission is to empower kids from lower income neighborhoods by promoting academics, health & wellness, back to school drives, food drives, and other life developmental skills utilizing the universal game we love soccer. Our board members consists of distinguished scholars from different professional backgrounds representing countries from Africa, the Caribbean, South America, and citizens of United States of America. Our goal is to create a safe space where we can provide the youth with resources to help there development on and off the soccer field. Currently we have 3 ongoing programs in place that have made great strides this year and we have witnessed huge success. These programs include our high school/ college workshops, food pantries and seasonal soccer-based community events. Programs like our high school workshops & seminars foster these kids with the necessary tools like resume building to obtain a job, apply to college, gain access to available grants and loans, learn more about the NCAA Clearinghouse process, and choosing a college of interest by doing some in depth research and more. We also host monthly food pantries that provide food, hats, socks and personal hygiene kits for youth and families in need in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Students who volunteer through this mission can benefit by meeting their community service goals in order to graduate. Additionally, they will gain the knowledge and understanding of their importance in society by learning how to be a helping hand to someone else in need. We host seasonal community events that promote healthier living, both physically and mentally while learning the fun game of soccer. Donations received from our supporters will assist us in reaching a higher volume of kids in need, allowing us to assist other lower income soccer teams in the community that doesn’t have the necessary funding for leagues fees, soccer equipment’s that will better propel the students on and off the soccer field. The Funds received will also ensure us in growing the programs we have planned for the upcoming school year.
