Sophie’s Neighborhood is a nonprofit fundraising for research for an effective treatment or cure for a rare genetic disorder: Multicentric Carpotarsal Osteolysis (MCTO).
About This Cause
Sophie’s Neighborhood is a nonprofit organization founded in response to 5-year-old Sophie Rosenberg’s diagnosis of a rare genetic disorder: Multicentric Carpotarsal Osteolysis (MCTO) Syndrome Sophie is a friend to the community, and daughter of restaurant owners, Hosea & Lauren Rosenberg of Blackbelly & Santo in Boulder, CO. She is one of ~50 people in the world identified with MCTO, an ultra rare, progressively crippling genetic bone and kidney disease. There is currently no treatment or cure that will stop its destruction. This foundation was formed to change that, and you can too.
