Investing in Latino scholars to reach their highest potential in Colorado
About This Cause
There is no greater advocate for supporting Latino's in higher education throughout the state of Colorado than the Latin American Education Foundation (LAEF). LAEF has awarded more than 7,000 scholarships, totaling over $7 million to students across Colorado. For the 2025-2026 academic year, LAEF will award $400,000 to 128 Colorado students. LAEF is dedicated to providing students and their families with resources and services needed to make going to college a reality. Our goals are ultimately to reduce the barriers for Latino students in attaining post-secondary education, helping them realize their own potential, and at the same time, nurturing a resource that will benefit us all. LAEF is a one-stop center of information, providing guidance to parents and students, helping to navigate the college process. Our services include: College planning, enrollment and registration guidance, financial aid guidance, scholarship support, 1:1 coaching, college transition and career planning. These services are provided via group forums, including workshops and presentations, as well as on a one-on-one and walk-in basis. LAEF’s services are free of charge.
