Mission Statement
Lap Dog Rescue of NM rescues, rehabilitates and places for adoption small companion dogs. We rescue dogs primarily from high-kill shelters in New Mexico. We have no paid staff, we use fosters homes (no kennels), and we are a no-kill rescue.
About This Cause
Lap Dog Rescue of New Mexico is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that rescues small companion dogs from high-kill shelters in the State of New Mexico. We do not use kennels - all of our dogs are placed in loving foster homes while awaiting adoption. We are totally volunteer-based and we have no paid staff. All of our expenses are dog-related with the highest expense being our veterinary bills followed by dog food and supplies.
