Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote friendship among former students and support education of current students of the High School for the Gifted (PTNK) in Vietnam and the United States. In addition, we provide disaster relief to local communities in Vietnam and the U.S.
About This Cause
Our organization was formed by a group of former students of the High School for the Gifted (Phổ Thông Năng Khiếu, or PTNK) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, who are now living and working in the U.S. We aspire to foster great friendship among former students from our high school through activities that benefit local communities in the U.S. and Vietnam such as fund raising for charitable causes, donating medical supplies to hospitals, donating food to those in need, and supporting education of current students of the school, etc. When COVID-19 hit the U.S. in 2020, we raised fund to purchase more than 30,000 masks from overseas and donated them to local hospitals in Washington State. We also purchased books for students from our high school with donations by former students. In August 2021, when Ho Chi Minh city was hit hard by COVID-19, we partnered with charitable organizations in Vietnam to provide supplies for medical staff and deliver food to people in need.
