Mission Statement
Greater Evansville Youth exists to provide a safe and conducive environment to educate, empower, and support the lives of LGBTQ+ youth in Evansville and the surrounding area. Through fellowship, service projects, and educational workshops, Greater Evansville Youth seeks to foster a holistic generation for a healthier tomorrow.
About This Cause
Offering weekly youth group meetings, Greater Evansville Youth creates a positive safe space for LGBTQ+ youth to build community with each other, learn how to advocate for themselves, and to express their individuality and personal identity. Our youth leaders are trauma-informed, back ground checked, certified in child abuse prevention, and our policies provide appropriate boundaries to protect and care for the most vulnerable youth in the tri-state area. We provide education to local organizations and work with many community partners in an effort to provide a comprehensive network to better support LGBTQ+ youth and their families.
