Mission Statement
American Moment’s mission is to identify, educate, and credential young Americans who will implement public policy that supports strong families, a sovereign nation, and prosperity for all. American Moment hosts events, produces original content, and builds networks to create personnel who will implement our priorities in government, business, and public policy organizations.
About This Cause
We are not a mass organization of young people looking to suddenly change the culture, nor do we claim to be philosophers with grand visions for the arc of human history. Rather, we’re focused on constructing an infrastructure of personnel. We’re building a cadre of staffers, operators, and leaders who will do the nuts-and-bolts work behind the scenes. It will be equipped to ensure that things actually get done, that words are met with substantive action, and that the future of American statecraft will prioritize our national interest. Fortunately, the raw talent needed to meet that challenge is here in the country. American Moment will spearhead the endeavor to find and connect with young people who will make up a new elite— one that loves its fellow countrymen and seeks their flourishing. American Moment identifies dedicated non-college educated young people, college students, and young professionals interested in entering the political process as personnel, educates them in foundational public policy, and seeks to credential them by placing them in new and legacy organizations in the conservative movement. By doing this, we will ensure that, over time, staff in positions of authority have an ideological and tactical mindset aligned with our priorities. Additionally, we will dramatically expand the audience for other like-minded organizations by serving as the on-ramp that equips young conservatives with the educational and professional tools necessary to properly engage with more advanced organizations’ work. American Moment seeks to create and place dedicated, hard-working, intelligent, young conservatives in Congressional offices, institutions, and administrations. In the medium- term, we can substantially change the composition of the staffing pool on the American right — and we will.
