Mission Statement

Our mission is to be the link between communities and holistic wellness to create a healthier community for a better society and to improve the physical and mental health of immigrants and refugees and provide wrap around service to the houseless community. De Rose Community Bridge and Holistic Wellness (DRB) strives to address the multifaceted challenges faced by all immigrants and refugees, a population disproportionately affected by barriers to health, education, and economic stability. Recognizing these challenges as a crisis of access and equity, DRB's mission focuses on the holistic improvement of our community members' lives. Particularly vulnerable groups such as women and youth: they grapple with obstacles that range from mental health issues to the complexities of navigating life in a new country without sufficient support. Our solution lies in a comprehensive approach that targets immediate needs like food insecurity, access to housing and healthcare. However, it also addresses long-term empowerment through education and job support. Our English language classes are crucial, as fluency in English is often an immigrant’s “currency,” helping them unlock opportunities for success and integration. At De Rose Community Bridge and Holistic Wellness (DRB), we provide a range of services designed to help immigrants and refugees overcome challenges and thrive in their new communities.

About This Cause

De Rose Community Bridge and Holistic Wellness (DRB) is a culturally responsive and community-rooted organization dedicated to addressing the complex challenges faced by immigrant and refugee populations. These communities are often disproportionately affected by barriers to health, education, and economic stability. At DRB, we recognize these challenges as a crisis of access and equity—and our mission is to break down those barriers by creating pathways to opportunity and fostering holistic well-being. Our work is centered on the most vulnerable within our communities—particularly women and youth—who often navigate not only mental health struggles but also the daunting realities of life in a new country without adequate support. We take a comprehensive, long-term approach that addresses both urgent needs and future empowerment. From combating food insecurity and providing culturally competent healthcare, to offering English language classes and job readiness support, DRB is committed to equipping individuals and families with the tools for self-reliance and long-term success. Our services are designed through a culturally specific lens, including community pantry programs, mental and physical health initiatives, mentoring, and education. We recognize that for many immigrants, discussions about mental health remain taboo—shaped by cultural stigmas, misinformation, and a lack of safe spaces. As a trusted bridge, DRB connects individuals with critical resources in a way that respects their cultural identities and experiences. As we expand, we are seeking support to deepen our impact—especially in fighting hunger, mentoring youth, and closing educational gaps. Our afterschool and youth development programs build community, provide psychosocial support, teach life-saving skills, and help young people navigate American systems confidently. We also believe that healing and empowerment can happen through connection and purpose. That’s why we launched Rainbow Farm, a powerful initiative bringing together women from diverse countries to grow food, build community, and break cultural barriers. Our 2024 graduates produced enough food to feed their families for an entire year—demonstrating resilience, self-sufficiency, and collective strength. At DRB, we believe that everyone deserves a chance to thrive—regardless of where they come from. With continued support, we aim to build a future where no one is left behind . Through this mission, we address immediate needs while also paving the way for a future where immigrants and refugees are able to fully participate, contribute, and enrich our society as a whole
