Established in 2019 by our visionary founder, Sri Nihal Tammana, at the age of 10, our cause revolves around transforming the mindset regarding the disposal of used batteries. Through robust educational initiatives and the distribution of certified battery bins, we aim to create widespread awareness about the environmental repercussions of improper battery disposal. Partnering with organizations like Call2Recycle, we strive to provide accessible and responsible solutions for recycling batteries. About the Cause: Recycle My Battery (https://recyclemybattery.org) is not just an initiative; it's a movement fueled by a burning passion for a cleaner, safer world. Founded in 2019 by Sri Nihal Tammana at the age of 10, our cause is rooted in addressing a critical environmental concern – improper battery disposal. Mission: Our mission is two-fold. First, we aim to change mindsets regarding the disposal of used batteries. Indiscriminate and unscientific methods not only harm the environment but also pose significant risks. Second, we strive to create widespread public awareness about the detrimental effects of improper battery disposal. Actions: To translate our mission into tangible impact, Recycle My Battery provides certified battery bins with complimentary two-way priority shipping. These bins are made available to various public and private organizations, including schools, libraries, and community centers, free of cost. This is made possible through a strategic partnership with Call2Recycle, the largest battery recycling organization in the nation. Impact: We're proud to share that, with the support of our incredible team, which comprises young school kids from around the world, we have collected and recycled over 550,000+ used batteries. Our educational initiatives have reached more than 38 million people, inspiring them to join the cause for responsible battery disposal. Vision: Looking forward, our vision extends beyond the mere act of recycling.
