Mission Statement
EDT’s mission is to "Educate and Provide Tools that will help underserved African American Youth Develop Economic Stability through education and career development. This is achieved by Recapturing and Redirecting the Untapped Potential of High School and College African American Youth to Meet the Needs of Today's Job Market". EDT educates youth to become critical thinkers and problem solvers. EDT will help them understand their strengths as well as personal skills needing development through EDT’s entrepreneur curriculum and labs. EDT will also train and prepare youth, with a resume, internships, coaching/mentoring and corporate/skilled labor introductions. Each Candidate will understand their own individual "Brand" after the course.
About This Cause
Equality Dream Team (EDT) is a comprehensive service organization that develops sustainable economic and educational solutions for underserved communities. This is done through an Entrepreneurship mindset curriculum that facilitates careers, Internships, jobs and opportunities to youth. The curriculum is based on a set of tools that enable the individual to identify and make the most of opportunities, overcome and learn from setbacks, in order to succeed in a variety of professional and social environments. EDT programs include: entrepreneurship training and development, personal resume writing and development, coaching and mentoring, internship introductions, career training, recruitment, skilled labor and company referrals and introductions. EDT is converting 100% of our candidates. Everyone of EDT candidates has or is expected to graduate from college/University.
