About This Cause
Women for Charity is a registered 501 (C)(3) Organization. This org existed as a very small group since 2015 supporting programs and events for other nonprofit organizations like homeless shelters, give kids the world, Senior first, Ronald McDonald’s Foundation, and Clean the world – just to name a few. In 2019 we organized ourselves better and came together as a group to raise funds by selling specialty goods and services. We raised funds to support causes like Hurricane Dorian relief in the Bahamas, local Soup Kitchen, Seniors in central FL, terminally ill patients in India, etc. Partnered with Darden, Amazon, Dr. Phillips Charities on specific causes. Despite pandemics slowing us down, we are still strong. Suja, Rathna, Nishita, Nandhini, Pavithra are on the current board and volunteering army of over 30 women. Finally, We believe in Shramadhaan (donating time and effort) more than sharing resources. Through which we raise funds to support programs for the year. As we are growing and seeing more needs, we are accepting donations unsolicited. We are thankful that this platform doubles the donations and do more for the community. Thank you donors!!! Here are some of the projects for 2024. 1. Feed the homeless, restocking soup kitchen and provide sustenance for local seniors 2. Support Eagle Project benefiting the community 3. Mentoring Orphaned/single parent kids 4. Breast Cancer screening for uninsured women 5. Stock up Rural Libraries and Rural Schools 6. Provide nourishments for abandoned big cats of Central Florida 7. Lend a helping hand to local mental wellbeing programs for the needy 8. Meaningful contribution to local atypical adults and children programs 9. Aid alternately abled folks towards independent living 10. Help a local healthcare charity, driven by high school students.
