Mission Statement
The mission of Elevate North Texas is to offer a welcoming, affirming environment with immediate, short-term housing and personal case management for youth (18-24) in crisis, partnering with them to create a path to housing stability.
About This Cause
Elevate North Texas (Elevate) was founded in 2020 when more North Texans were forced into unsheltered situations and living on the streets. Elevate exists to serve youth who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness, with programming designed to address the specific needs of young adults, who have different needs than older adults and the chronically homeless population. We equip a young person with skills to navigate away from the homelessness system and off the streets into safe, stable housing. At Elevate, we provide immediate resources for youth through two main programs: Emergency Short-Term Housing and Reunification & Diversion. • The Emergency Short-Term Housing program partners with hotels across North Texas to provide beds for youth experiencing homelessness. By securing an extended-stay hotel room equipped with a full kitchen, we can supply the basic needs of food, shelter, and safety to a young person in crisis. • The Reunification & Diversion program reconnects homeless youth with supportive family members or friends who may be able to take them in. If no safe family or friend option is available through our diversion services, we find a safe space for the youth to stay. Elevate provides a nurturing, trauma-informed environment to help provide vulnerable young adults with housing-problem-solving pathways to obtain a self-sustaining life.
