Mission Statement
The Russian Cultural Center (RussianAustin.com) is a non-profit project with the goals of promoting Russian culture and language, uniting the Russian-speaking cultures in Austin, Texas, and is open to everyone who is interested in the Russian culture.
About This Cause
Goals of Russian Cultural Center in Austin: Development of educational and cultural resources for Russian-speaking population of Austin. Promotion of the Russian language and culture in Texas. Development and support of an information resource about the Russian language, traditions, and culture. Building educational and social partnerships between Russian-speaking residents of the city. Support of educational, cultural, and social projects, including: Russian school “Sputnik” (Saturday school with classes for both children and adults, including Arts, Science, Russian and Spanish languages, Math, etc) Journal “Russian Austin” (both online and in print) After school program “Virtual Wolfs” Book discussion club and kids book library Art exhibitions and art classes in school “Sputnik” every Saturday and in Austin parks during week days Cultural events (most recent: Wizard of Oz and New Year / Christmas Concert)
