Helping humanity heal by providing miles of smiles by alleviating poverty, hunger and insufficiencies through hope, love and giving of human resources, providing human services and empowerment workshops in life skills to revitalize and build strong families making a socioeconomic impact in our community.
About This Cause
The Legacy of HOPE Foundation, Inc. strengthens social support systems for families to build equity through our resource and empowerment center that is inclusive to individuals and families to help alleviate poverty and hunger and give youth an advantage through empowerment and mentorship. We give access to free clothing, nutritious food, youth mentoring and empowerment to connect youth with caring adults to build self-esteem, confidence, courage and character and educational programs on life skills and healthy eating to address food insecurities and health disparities that may be caused by lack of healthy nutritious food. By ensuring access to clothing, food, education and empowerment our programs contribute to improving the overall well-being of individuals, our youth and families, breaking the cycle of poverty and dismantle barriers of social and economic injustice. We give families tools to empower them through workshops and training in financial literacy, computer training, healthy lifestyles to enhance job skills, build businesses, own homes and achieve self-sufficiency to be productive causing communities to thrive. The Legacy of HOPE Foundation, Inc. provides an inclusive space bringing individuals and families together from diverse backgrounds to connect, obtain resources, education and empowerment to learn and grow together to improve their overall well-being. We are dedicated to giving our youth an advantage to prevent youth violence by ensuring that youth have access to safe spaces offering mental wellness, social and emotional wellness and education, youth can have improved self-esteem, increased quality of life, and avoid the school-to-prison pipeline.
