Mission Statement NAMI Southern Arizona (“NAMI SA”) improves the quality of life for all those affected by mental illness.
About This Cause
NAMI Southern Arizona is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and serves Southern Arizona, primarily Tucson and Pima County, through education, advocacy and support at NO COST to ALL affected by mental illnesses. A grassroots non-profit organization, NAMI Southern Arizona was started by volunteers in 1983. In 2021 people participated in NAMIWalks virtually and raised over $150,400 to support programs and services; 153 presentations were given to the public, 118 classes and trainings on mental illness and 149 support groups were held; over 105,623 people contacted NAMI SA for information and help. Important to the residents of Southern Arizona, many of our programs and materials are available in Spanish and now, due to COVID19 are available virtually via ZOOM.
