Mission Statement
Caring for patients; building healthy communities!
About This Cause
Since 1996, Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc. (CCHCI), a 501 (c)(3) public charity, has provided the highest quality primary care to the diverse communities and special populations of Cochise County, AZ as the region’s only Federally Qualified Health Center. Under the visionary banner of “Health for All” and driven by the mission of “Caring for Patients; Building Healthy Communities” we provide primary healthcare, behavioral health, dental, nutritional care, pediatrics, pharmacy, radiology and women’s health services to the women, men, and children of our vast rural 6200 square mile region. CCHCI proudly serves all persons regardless of ability to pay or insurance status. In 2021, CCHCI provided care to more than 30,000 unique patients (25% of the Cochise County population). Of these, 62% identify as a racial and/or ethnic minority, and 55% as "Hispanic/Latino". Cochise County is designated as a Health Professional Shortage Area and as such, CCHCI utilizes mobile and telehealth services to reach special populations – including people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence victims, and migrant farmworkers. CCHCI employs teams of trained community health workers who provide health care access via pharmacy delivery and home visitation services as well.
